A Fast-Tracked Production
This film had an interesting production journey. Originally set to hit screens on March 26, the release got pushed forward by a week, taking advantage of the slot left open by Yash's postponed film. Starting production in June 2025, directors, with PK’s help, undoubtedly wanted to wrap things up quickly to meet the festive season. And boy, the action-packed 2 hours and 29 minutes is something you don’t mind sitting through, thanks to Pawan Kalyan's dramatic intensity.
Don't Believe the Thalapathy Rumors
Rumors flew that this film was a remake of Vijay's Theri. But, nope! Director Harish Shankar confirmed it's an original story. It's refreshing to see a film standing on its plot about an honest cop fighting political bullies rather than piggybacking on another's success. And for those wondering, the film smartly stays away from political dialogues despite Pawan Kalyan’s political involvement. No politics here, just some solid action.
The Soundtrack You Can't Ignore
Music is a big deal here, and Devi Sri Prasad didn't disappoint with his catchy compositions. With Thaman S on the background score, songs like "Dekhlenge Saala" have smashed records, getting over 29 million views in mere hours! It's no surprise you can’t ignore the buzz this soundtrack has created.
Box Office and Critical Reception
The film did quite well with ticket sales, especially showing a strong start in North America with $80,000 in advance sales. But when it comes to critics, the movie hasn't wowed everyone. Both BVS Prakash and T. Maruthi Acharya gave it 1.5 stars. They highlighted Pawan Kalyan’s magnetism as its main strength but felt it fell short elsewhere.
Reuniting Pawan Kalyan with Harish Shankar after the iconic Gabbar Singh added a lot of expectations to this film. Were they all met? Maybe not completely, but hey, if you’re a fan of PK, this one's definitely worth a watch.
