It Started With a Song We Could Not Find

It was late at night. A Punjabi song had been playing on repeat in our heads for days. Not the hook, not the chorus — one specific line buried deep in the second verse. We wanted to know what it meant. We wanted to read the full lyrics. We wanted to feel the song properly, the way you do when the words finally land on paper in front of you.

So we searched. And searched. And kept searching.

What we found was a mess. Half the lyrics were wrong. Some pages had bold guesses where the singer clearly sang something else. A few sites had machine-translated the Punjabi into something unrecognizable. Regional language songs? Forget it. Nobody had even tried. That frustration is where DJYoungster was born.

Where We Come From

We are a small team of music lovers based in Punjab, India. Music here is not background noise. It plays at every wedding, every celebration, every long drive through the fields, every quiet evening on the rooftop. Songs in Punjab carry emotions that ordinary conversations sometimes cannot hold.

When we started DJYoungster in 2023, we were not thinking about traffic numbers or ad revenue. We were thinking about that one user who stays up at night trying to understand a lyric. The person who hears a Tamil song in a Hindi film and wants to know what the singer is really saying. The NRI living thousands of kilometers from home who just wants to read the words to a Punjabi folk song their mother used to sing. We built this for them. And honestly, for ourselves too.

What DJYoungster Is Today

Three years later, DJYoungster has grown into something we are genuinely proud of.
